8128 Canadian Geomatics Environmental Scan and Economic Value Study

Natural Resources Canada

On behalf of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), HAL is undertaking a two-part study consisting of: (i) a Canadian Geomatics Environmental Scan; and (ii) a related Economic Value Study.  HAL is partnering with ACIL Tasman of Australia for this work.

 
8154 Return on Investment in Large Scale Research Infrastructure

National Research Council

The National Research Council has asked HAL to develop a systematic approach to evaluating the benefits from investments in large scale research infrastructure.  Such an approach will assist in identifying, selecting, and managing these facilities to maximize the benefits to Canada.  The approach will be applied to Canada’s particle accelerator, TRIUMF.

HAL has been selected by the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) to provide strategic planning consulting services in support of the mid-term review of their 2010-15 Strategic Plan.

 
8152 Creative Clusters and Innovation

Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport

The Entertainment and Creative Clusters (ECC) consist of film production, television and broadcasting, music, digital media, book and magazine publishing, and commercial theatre.  On behalf of the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport (MTCS), HAL will define, describe and quantify the innovation process in the ECC and its contribution to cluster growth and the broader economy.

 
8148 Literature Review: Nuclear Research Trends Post-Fukushima

Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission

HAL is assisting the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) by providing a review of the existing body of international nuclear research and a report on current research trends, particularly those emerging as a response to the Fukushima incident.
