HAL is once again working with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. In line with the 2003 Agricultural Policy Framework and its successor, Growing Forward, AAFC and OMAFRA have a growing commitment to foster the agri-technology industry. HAL’s is preparing an analysis and needs assessment of the Agri-Tech sector to help develop a Ministry-wide Agri-Tech Innovation Plan (A-TIP).

(7789) Chemicals Management Plan – Performance Measurement and Evaluation Plan

Health Canada and Environment Canada have mandates to protect the health of Canadians and the environment. The Chemicals Management Plan (CMP) is a joint initiative of these departments designed to reduce duplication, and increase efficiency, effectiveness and economy in discharging their mandates. Accordingly, building on the success of their joint governance and management system for the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), this system was enhanced and given the additional responsibility for CMP.
