The Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI) is an online resource that gives decision-makers access to location-based information. HAL is helping GeoConnections to better understand the economic impacts of the CGDI on the evolving industry. The study consists of three parts:
- A review of the Canadian geospatial industry (i.e., the evolving geomatics industry that includes major activity within the engineering, environment, and ICT sectors), providing a market profile and industry profile.
- Identification of relevant economic metrics to assess the CGDI.
- Measurement of the economic impacts of the CGDI on the Canadian geospatial industry.
