HAL has teamed with C-Core to undertake a study for the Canadian Space Agency regarding the ship Automatic Identification Signals (AIS) on space-based platforms. The study will focus on the regulatory and policy issues related to AIS access and use, the technical aspects of the technology, particularly as compared to land-based reception of AIS, and the business opportunities arising as a result of this technology.
